Chandrapalli Dam

Chandrapalli of Chincholi taluk situated at a distance of about 10 km from Chincholi and is a very well known picnic spot. It is now being developed as a tourist centre with boating and other recreational facilities. A dam has been built across the river Sarala for the purpose of irrigation. The natural valley in the midst of the forest is a enchanting beauty and a place of tranquility. It has all facilities for tourist to stay. There are local bus service from Chincholi.
About seven km from Chandrapalli reservoir, there is an uninhabited village called Gottamgotti in the middle of hill ranges, offering challenge for adventure lovers and trekkers. The place has modern temples dedicated to saint Bakkaprabhu, Durgadevi and Maruti. On the day of Shivaratri a big festival is held here attracting a large congregation of devotees. Those who are visiting Chandrapalli can also visit this place.

By road: Approximately 85–88 km, taking around 2 to 2.5 hours via Chincholi.

Nearest Railway station: Sedam and Tandur,
