This is a historically famous dargah located in Alandpatta, 45 km from the district headquarters of Kalaburagi. He was a Sufi saint who came here from Delhi in 1320 on the way to Daulatabad, and his burial place is today’s Ladle Mashaka Dargah. The dargah is a beautiful building in the Indo-Islamic style.
It is a historically important place located 25 km southeast of the taluk headquarters Alandadi via Kadaganchi and 34 km northwest of Gulbarga via Chinchanur. It is a place of historical importance. There is a legend that while Rama, who killed Ravana, was returning to Ayodhya, he came to Narona in the middle of the way and worshipped the Kartika Linga and became ‘Na Ravana’ after losing the sin of killing Ravana. It is believed that this is the place where Agastya Maharishi stayed. But historically, the antiquity of Narona can be traced back to about the 11th-12th century through inscriptions. Referred to as ‘Naravani’ in earlier inscriptions, it was previously the administrative center of 12 villages and was a part of the Alande-1000 Gonka-120 Kampanavaitteva Abha Ansh Nere Bodhana. But no inscriptions have been reported from here so far. However, due to the Kartikeya, Kshemalingeshwara, and the Vishnu temples here, it has become an important holy place and has become known as ‘Kshetrapala’ today.
