Korwar Anveerbhadreshwar Temple

It is a religious place located 35 km north of the taluk headquarters Chittapur. It is mentioned as Korwar in ancient inscriptions. An inscription from around the 14th century has been reported from here. This inscription in the ruined Shiva temple mentions the donation of a site to Sangamadeva. The Sangamadeva mentioned in the inscription is the present Shiva temple. This town, located 10 km from Madabola, is famous for the Aniveerbhadra temple. A fair of Veerabhadreshwara is held here in the month of May, on this occasion a huge crowd gathers here and a cattle fair is also held here.
By Road (Taxi or Self-Drive)
Route: Drive from Kalaburagi towards Kalgi and Chincholi, then onward to Korwar village where the temple is located.
Distance: Approx. 26 km
Travel Time: Around 40–50 minutes, depending on traffic and road conditions.
By Public Bus
Option: Board a KSRTC or private bus from Kalaburagi to Chincholi or kalgi
Then: Hire a local auto-rickshaw or cab from kalgi to reach Korwar (short onward journey).
Advantages: Budget-friendly and readily available.
By Train + Road
Nearest Major Railway Station: Gulbarga (Kalaburagi) Railway Station.
Korwar lacks a nearby station within 10 km, so this option is mainly used if you’re arriving by train from elsewhere
