This is the only Rath Yatra that takes place at midnight in the Kalyana Karnataka region. Every year, on the day of Ashadh Shukla Pratipada (the day after the new moon of the earth), the alternative festival of Sri Balabhimasena Temple is celebrated in Motakapally village. The tradition of handing over authority to priests who have performed puja for a year is celebrated here. On this occasion, thousands of people from the state and neighboring states like Andhra, Telangana, and Maharashtra gather here. The temple and the ancient Pushkarani in the temple premises have a unique architectural style and are very attractive to see.
