A leading light of the Veerashaiva movement. Sri Sharanabasaveshwara blessed this Land with Dasoha Culture. A Shrine was built in due course over his tomb after his death in 1822. The temple took its present form in the early 20th century and displays beautiful pillars decorated with Peacocks, Garudas, Nagas, Parrots, Elephants, etc. The Shrine consists of marvelous miniature decorated Sabhamantapa with the Granite sculptures which tell about the Divine life of Sharnbasveshwar. Mahadasoha Mahamane and Nanda Deepa are worth seeing.
