The main town of Jewargi taluk is Yadrami, whose original name was Elarame, which was historically mentioned as a subdivision with 50 villages during the reign of Sagara Raja. The inscriptions mention the name of this town as Elarave Elarame Sarvaswamasyad Agrahara Dakshina Varanasi Elarame, according to the available records, there are 15 inscriptions reported here and Elarame became Yadrami over time. There is a Kalyani in the Rameshwaram temple in Elarame, which is called Ramatirtha. This Tirtha is located near the Sri Basaveshwara temple in the town. This Kalyani Pushkarani, built during the time of the Chalukyas, was modified to suit Muslim architectural styles during the Adilshahis. A mosque can also be seen here. In the middle of the Kalyani, surrounded by water, there is an ancient building. This building has an arched style assembly hall and a sanctum sanctorum with a Shivalinga. There is a dome on top of it, and it has an arched style salu mantapa around it.
