Over view

Yanagundi is located southeast of the taluk headquarters, Sedam town. The area is home to the Mahatapasha Mata Manikeshwari Ashram, a major tourist attraction. Mata Manikeshwari, who performs religious rituals in a cave on the Yanagundi hill, comes out of the cave only twice a year, Maha Shivaratri and Guru Purnima (when the Kadligadabu is swollen), and gives public darshan. On these occasions, thousands of people from the state and neighboring states like Andhra, Telangana, and Maharashtra flock here to have darshan of the mother. The area is always full of tourists due to religious activities held throughout the year. The Maulali Dargah on this hill is also a symbol of spirituality and it is special that Muslims and Hindus who come here celebrate the festivals together. is located southeast of the taluk headquarters, Sedam town.
